I landed in Nelspruit and luckily I had arranged airport pick uo with the hotel Manager, Michelle because there was no a cab or shuttle in sight outside of this small airport for two. My driver was waiting for me with a sign and I am feeling all V.I.P like for my $90 transfer. I am definitely on guard as this is my first time really interacting with someone here and the ride is about 45 minutes long. The driver turns out to be a humble older gentleman who grew up in Hazyview. As we "cruise" along the beautifully tree lined and smooth highway doing 120 mph speed limit, he tells me about his upbringing and I tell him about my plans to explore his beautiful country. I am starting to understand why this trip costs $90 one way as the minutes go by and I realize the distance between the airport and the small town of Hazyview, where a haze lingers when the sun is out. So Africa.
